Pay it Forward Campaign

The expression "pay it forward" is used to describe the concept of asking that a good turn be repaid by having it done to others instead. More specifically, the creditor offers the debtor the option of "paying" the debt forward by lending it to a third person instead of paying it back to the original creditor. Debt and payments can be monetary or by good deeds.

Greatheart focuses on bringing the concept of paying it forward to corporate companies. The simple idea of doing good works for others to repay the good that has happened to you is one that can easily be conveyed onto others. Our concept is to introduce a “Pay it Forward Chair” – an artwork which will symbolize the company’s dedication to social responsibility and their assistance in building support for a community.

The chair will be the “seat” of social responsibility. It will be covered in hearts made by a group of ladies in Alexandra Township, ladies who support their own families, children and grandchildren on the little that they have. Each individual in a company could purchase a heart to show their support, or alternatively the chair could be branded with the company’s corporate identity and form part of their social responsibility portfolio. The company could then in turn encourage other clients and companies to do their bit and purchase their own chair. The chairs in a style of your choice, could be displayed in reception and in time to come will be recognized as the “Pay it Forward chair.”
