Greatheart brings you a range of beautiful products including the Greatheart Felt Range and now the Greatheart Furniture Range. Greatheart is a women empowerment skills development project, bringing together a group of ladies in Alexandra township to make hand-beaded and embroidered products. Through training and development, made possible through the sales of their handmade products, the women who were previously reliant on an irregular government grant and were unemployed are able to put food on the table and restore dignity to their lives.

Greatheart Gifts work hand in hand with The African Children’s Feeding Scheme. Our project with the children began nine years ago. Greatheart Gifts was founded two years ago to support the mothers and grandmothers of these children and have since become the backbone of Greatheart Gifts. Through the skills and development given to these women their hand embroidery and beading has become world class.  These previously unemployed ladies are seeking to become independent and self sustaining by doing sewing.  They produce a wide variety of merchandise such as embroidered T-Shirts, dish cloths, aprons & blankets. We continue to seek ways to enhance a better life for all in this community.
